Would it be crazy to take around a 100 pound dumbbell and attempt to do 20 goblet squats? Once I slow down the breathing would be done at the bottom of each rep. How would this compare to 20-rep back squats?
High repetition goblet squats would be somewhat comparable to high repetition front squats or zercher squats.
The back & shoulder boys (Gentlicore & Smith) might have something to say about the internal rotation aspect of holding the “goblet”.
My complaint would be regarding the energy wasted getting the DB into position, as opposed to simply doing front squats off a rack.
