1970's - Who Paved the Way

It was guys like Larry Pacifico, Doug Young, John Kuc, Jim Cash, Don Rheinhout, Ernie Frantz…and others, who paved the way.

Roger Estep too, though he may have been towards and into the 80’s

Roger Estep…what a physique. I remember his foray into bodybuilding and that photo shoot of him in M&F magazine. He was one of the first to box squat, and an all around class guy, too.

From the UK, who could forget Eddie Pengelly…

1977 World Powerlifting Championships, feat. John Gant and the SHWs

Power Unlimited, documentary on the history of powerlifting
