18Y/O on TRT. Brain Fog, Low Libido, Fatigue. Could Use Some Help

Also, have never mentioned this:

I make my own preworkout before every lift. Its a lot cheaper than buying PWO from a supplement company, I buy all the ingredients individually from BulkSupplements or other brands. Does anyone see any problems with taking this almost everyday:

200mg Caffeine (sometimes 300)
7.4g L-Citrulline DL-Malate 2:1
4g Beta Alanine
1.1g Agmatine Sulfate
1x Generic B-Complex supplement
1/2 tsp Celtic Sea Salt

It totals to around 30 cents a serving. I haven’t noticed any negative effects from this. My penis kinda shrivels for a while during/after workout, but I imagine its because most blood is in my muscles. I feel like it makes sense that, since I’m stressing my body with heavy lifting, it wouldn’t send any blood to reproductive organs. Penis seems to regain regular bloodflow 1-2 hours post workout. I have gotten erections during this window, too, but not often.

That’s Shitty man. I would just switch docs bro. Try once more and explain to him the half life of t3 and the half life of t4.

I am going to throw in my two cents here as this thread is painful to read

Did any of these 10 or so (i guess illegaly purchased and having no idea about the quality) drugs taken without medical rationale solved your health problems?
The answer is no. And i hope your liver enzymes which were already borderline did not worsen over time.

Honestly I think you have developed an addiction to drugs. Your underlying problem may be an anxiety disorder and it would be a good idea to start looking at this aspect. Otherwise you will continue testing one drug after the other and in a year from now will only be in even deeper troubles as you are now.

I can give this a try. I’m trying to get the money together to switch to Defy.

I appreciate the honest input. Cialis has really helped with the ED. But I recognize that it is only combatting the symptom, whereas proper TRT treatment should’ve resolved it. The Proviron/Masteron has both helped me feel better while on TRT, but same deal, shouldn’t have to turn towards it to feel right.

Maybe this issue is an anxiety disorder, but I really doubt it. I can’t say I’ve really felt anxiety about my TRT protocol until you and @vintage83 have brought up that it could be an issue, to be completely honest. I’ve always felt confident and hopeful that eventually this will work out for me.

I do think, however, that I have been taking too many drugs. Aside from the mast/prov/cialis, I think testosterone as well. My dose is 210mg weekly, which I’m aware is nearing a bodybuilder, supraphysiological, steroid dose. I do think that starting NDT was a good decision, as I’ve seen improvement since starting and have labs that prove my thyroid was underperforming. If you really think that my issue can be anxiety about my health, then I will consider looking into this further. But I think its time I keep it real with myself and maybe drop all this shit.

I’ve been scared to lower my dose as I’ve attributed the benefits I’ve noticed from TRT to the high T dose. I’ve always told myself that I should feel better with a higher dose of these drugs, but obviously this isn’t working, and I think that I should make some serious cuts. I mean drop everything except what I need, which I think would be T, HCG, and NDT. What are your thoughts on this? I agree that this whole process, for me, has been conducted recklessly and I don’t want my thread to make it seem like I have no concern for my long term health. My goal is to find something that I can stick with so I can stop visiting this damn website to talk about my problems hahaha. Again, I appreciate the input thus far and any further input.

If you read the above post, please tell me your thoughts on this. I hate to keep switching my protocol, and I can tell it concerns a lot of the people on this forum about how many times I do it, but I still don’t feel right and I feel that the temporary hormonal imbalance is necessary in the best interests of my long term health.

I’ve read this post a long time ago and got the idea that I might be taking too much T. I want to be smart about this, so please hear me out and tell me what you think. Also, I want everyone to know that I wouldn’t make these changes without consulting my doctor.

I think the first step is to get a new sex hormone blood test including TT, FT, E2, DHT, SHBG. I want to see where my levels stand right now. The only time I’ve gotten this tested showed that my TT was 512 6 days after a 200mg injection. This makes me think that my levels should be ~900+ all the time with my daily injections. While I know everyone is different, many guys feel optimal around 700, and I think I need to give lower levels an honest shot, since I still don’t feel optimal. Rather than keep pushing the threshold with more drugs, I think I should make cuts.

Depending on my levels, of course, I will then make a cut accordingly. Say my TT is 1000, and I want to try getting it to 650. I will calculate 1000/210=650/136.5. I’ll call it 140 for numbers sake. Then, I’ll decrease my dose to 140 weekly, and stay on this dose til levels stabilize and I can get new labs. I’ll also evaluate how I feel and go from there.

This plan isn’t set in stone, and I’d really appreciate feedback on this.

Take that 2 grains am and the evening dose and simply split it. take half in am and other pm. It will keep your levels more consistent.

I would stop making so many changes and just stick to the best you have.

Yes hcg is a logical choice for that issue. I ran out and orgasm quality and sensivity has been down. Every time I reintroduce hcg it’s amazing again.

200mg cypionate
200iu every 3 days hcg.

1.5 grains am and 1.5 pm or whatever half and half is. Unless 2 grains feels better in am. Then take the second dose later in the day. Give it ten or so days to level out in the system. I canNot remember half life of t4 but it’s much longer than t3. Figure out how PO. T4 takes to build up.

High dose free t is not body builder dosing . Your focus is to resolve symptoms. Today many men have issues wirh SHBG; toxins; EDCs and so much more. You are still doing therapy As long as you increase dose until symptoms resolve and stop there. Don’t let anyone tell you that your dose is too high without understanding the uniqueness of your bodies specific needs.

Don’t take too much hcg it will spike free t and won’t feel great. 150-200 iu every 3-4 days works for me. It’s just enough to do the trick . I suggest you try the same.

Add a quality daily multi vitamin to your regiment.

@dbossa would suggest DHEA and I suggest pregnalanone. Introduce one at a time as they both have a great benefit on mental and sexual health. Including many other aspects of health. DHEA / google the benefits but get pharmacy grade from MedQuest or empower. Quality with these is important.

I ordered my daily from MedQuest and they make a nice difference in how I feel. A couple days not taking them I don’t feel as good. It’s very interesting. Probably giving the body something it really needed.

I appreciate the input. Further increasing my dose is another thought I’ve had.

For now, I will try what you’ve suggested about DHEA. 25 Mg in the morning for a few weeks, to see how I feel. I choose DHEA over Pregnenolone just because I have some on hand. I will keep updated

Yah one thing at a time. Not sure if I’ve mentioned the following , but I will so that you understand what a good start is and have confidence to run it for Atleast 3-4 months.

Get levels to a dose that work for most. That’s a free t of 25+ . If true you are on a good dose that should work for the majority. If not, I would raise it to get there so that you don’t spend the next several months increasing and dragging out low T hell.

Most should get on daily or every other day dose. Later you can always drop it to find the minimal dose needed to achieve success.

Thyroid works fast. Test takes longer. It’s hard to decipher whether thyroid is need to fix ailments or TRT. The only time we are sure we need thyroid is by labs or the fatigue is so severe we feel nothing at all form TRT after 2-3 months. That’s if the free t levels are high.

Hope that helps. Stay patient and eventually you’ll feel excellent and helping others achieve success by sharing your accumulated experience .

Thank you for this input. I’ve taken two daily doses of DHEA so far and haven’t noticed anything +/- yet, but I will continue this for a while to see if I notice effects. My penile sensitivity has returned since that ED incident two weekends ago, but this could also be because of my resuming HCG. I’ve also split my NDT dose like you recommended. I’m prescribed 2.5 grains daily, so I’m taking 1.5 AM and 1 ~12 hours later. I take them sublingually, letting the tablet dissolve under tongue.

Has the ED improved on the NDT and the recent increase in grains? Any shift in libido?

Don’t take medicine like DHEA or pregnalanole and expect a change in anything. If you feel a benefit great; but don’t say it’s not working if you don’t feel a difference. It very well could be that your levels are already high and you are maintaining a good level.

Not good! Hcg works for me. Just stay consistent from this point forward.

The worst thing someone can do is start a new dose or make a change to their hrt and say “it’s not working . I’m going to make a change”. Or “.i don’t feel better”.

As long as you aren’t dying of fatigue and depression hang in there .

Thanks !

Has anyone figured out how to improve sensitivity???

ED is fixed, libido still comes and goes. No major improvements. I’ll have T3 to try soon. Not going to mess w it though until I know how DHEA supplementation is going

Estrogen!!!

Low penile sensitivity=low estrogen in my experience. Either lower AI or raise T dose is my suggestion if you have low sensitivity. For me, cutting HCG decreases T in penis, which decreased E in penis, which killed sensitivity. Few days back on HCG and I couldn’t last more than 2 minutes in bed.

My HCG dose is 500IU EOD. And me E2 levels are at 47. Total T=900
What do you think??

My E2 was at 73, how much does it take? I guess w/high SHBG there isn’t as much ‘‘free e2’’ so maybe it needs to be even higher for me

@zsub154 @ncsugrad2002

Unfortunately, I don’t have lab numbers for you guys. This is purely based on how I’ve felt with and without AI. Too much AI, and I feel like shit and have no penile sensitivity. Im not sure what to do with high SHBG in this case. I’ve heard that less frequent injections can help, as in injecting once a week or maybe twice, instead of every day. Larger, less frequent injections mean more excess test in the body which means more estrogen conversion. @ncsugrad2002 be careful not to confuse high E2 w low E2 symptoms. Both will make you feel shitty, and both will cause ED. The biggest difference would be water retention. If your looking really bloated, especially in the face, you prob have too high E2. High E2 will still cause ED.

Again, this is based on my own experience. Don’t have labs to back any of this up, but Im confident in my ability to distinguish the two now.

A lot of guys on this forum advocate for lower doses of HCG than you’re taking. I do t have any input other than this.

I would look into estrogen in penis vs total estrogen. I think there’s a difference… maybe you’re high HCG dose is leading to too much estrogen in the penis, creating problems. Definetely research more on your own tho, I’m not sure of any of this.
