Bit of a rough morning. Squats felt heavy, first time using calibrated plates for that and it didn’t help that by the time I hit at 3 I was working with almost 400 lbs. Deadlift Were done with normal plates and a few high rep sets. The final set literally taking my soul.

135x5, 225x5, 315x5, 405x10, 455x10, 495x16-this is an all time pr though last time I attempted max reps I hit 15 fairly easy but was trying figure 8 straps that kept forcing me to regrip
Wanted to get some more squatting in because yesterday was an off day. Worked up to two singles at 525 cause the first single got away from me in the hole and made it more difficult than it should’ve been. Also experimenting with talon grip.
Benched today witness up to 345 before I could find a spotter. Getting really annoying but think I’ve got a buddy that’ll be lifting with me soon so I can push myself a bit more.
Deadlift is going pretty shitty lately. Wondering if I did something when I tried 790 and didn’t break the floor. My right hip felt off but seemed better today. Just lacking power off the floor. Squats are going well at least. I may be seeing if I can hit an all time pr in the next few weeks.

Busy last few days. Had a yearly audit done today. For going over procedures at work. Now that that’s out of the way work days should be a lot easier. Squat is still going strong. And I’m almost wondering if deadlift is just feeling off because I’ve been hitting more volume and heavier squats since they’ve been feeling so good. This would definitely explain the weakness off the floor. Nothing hurts just not as much power. Anyway squated and pulled today along with some back.

Deadlift
155x5, 265x5, 375x3, 465x2, 555x1, 645 for 6 singles about 50 seconds between each. I was debating on dropping the weight to 600 but the weights moved decent enough. I have had to pull with straps the last few weeks cause i cut my thumb mail a little lower than normal and it hurt to hook grip. This could also be effecting the pull because with hook grip the bar sits about 1/2 to 3/4 of an inch lower in my hand. I pulled a seventh single at 645 with the bar slightly lower in the straps and it moved better than all the others.
Was moving some stuff to my house and decided to open more of my plate set. Well they sent me an extra 5kg plate so I was thinking i might drill a hole in it and hang out in my wall in my living room. What do you guys think.
The belt will go on the wall also once I pull something big in comp with it. Then I’m going to get another custom one done right. Would be cool to have ed coan sign it. Or were you talking about the plate
Been lifting with a buddy I met a few years back at a powerlifting meet. Body’s already feeling better between getting lift offs and more motivation to lift. But bench today but the benches are lower so I’m not as used to them
