Hit a little bit of heavy bench today. Was going to front squat but holding off for tomorrow

Bench
135x10, 225x8, 275x8, 325x3, 355x2, 370x1

Weights felt a little heavy today

incline db press
75s x10, 100s x10, 115s x8

Didn’t do much today cause I’m planning a good deadlift session tomorrow. Didn’t want to hit much of legs or back But a little close grip bench for reps

135x15, 205x17, 255x9, 275x6.

My joints killed from daily squatting. How do you cope?

I am still building back up to daily squatting right now a good set like the 475x4 I hit the other day made my legs a bit tired, not sore. The knee sleeve definitely helped me a lot with any knee pain i’ve had. I hit the sauna a few minutes and put them on in there before I squat. Once I get into daily squating though you ll see that my whole session is only about 25-30 reps. Enough to warm up and hit a good set and then do other stuff. I alternate between front and back squat with my front squat only high 300s my legs don’t even feel like I squatted on those days. Once you build up to it, its like walking through out a normal day. On and off topic hope that helps though

Did you build up to it and how long did you squat daily for

I really like the idea of alternating front and back squat days. Once I stop pulling my abductor every other week, I might try it. I worked up to it over the course of three months and stuck with it for almost a year. It worked extremely well.

I really like doing high frequency it helps your body adjust to move the weight in the most efficient manner. And adds weight to the lift quickly just have to remember to take your time, its just big numbers get us all excited.

Hit a lot of shit today. As for the more important stuff
Deadlifts, db press, and paused bench

Deadlifts will be added to the end of my next video. Felt very strong with them but almost lost my second rep so stoped at 2. Rather than attempt 675 next week ( based on my past 3 sessions its there but will be tough) I will be dropping back and doing paused deadlifts or banded deadlifts.

Db press
70s x12, 100s x12, 125s x11

Paused bench ( long pauses)
135x5, 205x5, 275x3, 315x3, 345x1, 365x1-tng

Legs are dead today hit squats and stiff bar paused deadlifts

Squat
135x10, 225x8, 315x5, 385x3, 445x2, 475x1, 515x1, 410 3 sets of 5

paused stiff bar deadlift
135x10, 245x5, 335x3, 425x3, 515x3, 465x3x3
These killed since my legs were already dead from the squat volume

I’ve realized today I wont truely be happy till I’m at the top in my weight class. Guess that means jesse norris better watch out.

Ha ha. Yea. Going to take some time but adding bodyweight is going to get my lifts moving fast. I think when he put up that 2033 total it scared a lot of people from that class. But I know if he can do it at a young age I can do it in my lifetime. I’d like to get close over the next two years. I’m kind of stubborn about it I know I can put up huge numbers in time. Especially now that I could gain something like 22lbs from what I’m at now Rather than staying 181. my friend thinks I’m more competitive at 181, I keep telling him 1 year in the class and I’ll be more competitive at 198

Dang. I like it.
Speaking of Jesse, have you seen the volume he puts in on his deadlifts in training? It’s ridiculous.
But I guess he found what works for him.

Yea thats way too much volume for me. I usually put all my effort into one set.
