They said they’d split the novice division because there were some damn giants there but we ended up doing the same weights on everything else. So 8th place overall novice but 2nd place in under 220 novice.

The event was ran pretty bad, didn’t have enough time for my favorite event, the yoke farmer medley. Overall fun first experience.

Pretty happy with my physique right now sitting at 200lbs/92kg.
Really happy with my back, usually it’d take me a pretty solid back workout to get it looking like it did in this picture but this was cold. Once I’m done with nationals this year Im gonna try to push my back to its limits.

Well shit, this was my last week before a deload then onto the 505, good food, good rest, and good energy and I still couldn’t even pull a little 15lb PR. Feel like I’ve been spinning my fucking tires for 12 weeks now.

Update for nationals: The way things look with my schedule for work and other little side hustles I do I won’t have enough money to get to nationals. Really unhappy about this, in all it’s been a fairly shitty past few weeks plus and this might have put the turd on top of the shit cake.

But there also might be an even bigger shit cake being baked. For the past 3 or so months I’ve been getting this little pain in my mid/upper back region and after tonights deadlifts it got worse. Hoping to god it’s just some muscle tightness and not what I fear it to be (A bulging disk)
Anytime I breath deep into my lungs right now I can feel a dull pain and anytime I round my upperback I can feel something. Doesn’t really hurt but something isn’t right.
Gonna head to a docs office sometime soon hopefully. Gonna focus on decompressing my spine a shit ton until I get to the doctor and get an MRI or assessment of some sort.
