Just hit some kettle bell bench and called it a day

Bodyweight was low today only 184
Hit some bench up to 350 for 3 sets of 2.
Lower back felt off today so didn’t do much else
Hit some deads today to time it right for the 12th. Worked up to 635 with a hook grip
Hit some light squats, back is finally starting to feel decent. And some decline bench

Getting close. Hit some heavy paused singles on bench today up to just under my second attempt. Since I hit 350 at my last two comps first time being a third attempt and second time being a second and missing my third I will not allow myself to pick that weight in any attempt. Also I cant cause we will be using kilo plates. I’ll have a video up tomorrow of the bench along with my deads from the other day. Hook grip is feeling fairly good considering I started using it like a week ago.

I’m toying with the idea of a 2 hour weigh in since I can do either one. I’ll have to see where I’m at a few days out. Right now I’m siting about 185.
I kind of want to get it done though so I can see how far I can push my deadlift now. I’d like to give 675 a go in a month or two

Did some light squats and heavy decline bench. Squat is going smooth so far but not pushing it much right now.

Last deadlift session was today. Was going shitty and rethinking using hook grip. Hit 585 felt terrible, I had tightened my belt a notch before the gym and went and loosened it up. Came back and gave hook grip a go 585 - nothing great bumped to 625 ( planned second attempt) goal was smooth single with some left but it didnt feel as fast as I wanted so went for two that moved better hit a third since it was there than said fuck it and hit a fourth. 625x4 that beats my best set of 4 by 40lbs and is 5 lbs better than my best double I hit ( back when I pulled semi sumo) I should not have done this big of a set and I know that but that set was the best set of my life. 700+ is going to come fast

Thanks, nothing out of the ordinary probably wont squat at all unless just like 315 cause I really don’t want to set my back off. Bench I’m still hitting heavy. And this was my last deadlift session. Going to cut down on accessories but still get in the gym.
Skip the gym today. Slowing down and getting ready.
Looking very possible I’ll be weighing in in the morning of the meet for fun instead of the day before. Already sitting aound 183 and didn’t start to cut down.
Said the hell with it. I mess around with body weight to much going to weigh in tonight and lift in the morning

Just got home from my push pull meet. Was in the 181 class weighed in at 179. Things did not go at all how I wanted but still very happy with the lifts. I’ll have a video up on my youtube page possibly tomorrow. Opener on bench 330 I actually pressed before the command and stoped just off my chest and finished the lift so threw that out. second 355 clean lift long pause. Tried to play it safe went 370 on third and long pause just couldnt get it. Deadlift opened with 585 nice and smooth. heres where things went great but bad. I knew it was going to be a fight off the floor cause I train with reg plate and they used thin ivanko ones. Second attempt 625 broke the floor and slight downward motion before lock out. Went for broke 660 fought it off the floor but again slight down travel near lock out. Was givin the down command before I finished but locked it for myself. So to me thats a best 660 and with thin plates. Next time I’ll have more time working with sumo and lifts will be cleaner and heavier.
