135 Lb Barbell Turkish Get Up

hey guys havent posted on this site for a while. Check out my new vid on youtube

That’s pretty fuckin sweet. Any particular reason you’ve worked that particular lift so hard?

I’ve never heard of a turkish get up before.

How much can you shoulder press?

I’ve never heard of people doing TGU’s with a barbell. they are scary enoguh with a dumbbell. I saw you also have a video of you loading a 310lb stone. your a beast.

Thanks guys, I really don’t train the TGU that hard or often. I do alot of Crossfit style workouts, and I think that helps with overall strength and endurance increases. But I love this movement. If you have never tried it before you should watch a tutorial on how to do it corectly here- http://media.crossfit.com/cf-video/CrossFit_MartoneTGU1.wmv

To answer Lift Smart, my best strict press is 90 kilos and my best push press is 110 kilos.
confusedjake- thanks for noticing the atlas stone video, that rock had beaten me so many times before, I was so happy when I finally loaded it.

Old school strength

I like it when people ask, “what muscle does the Turkish Get Up work?” ALL OF THEM.
I remember the first time I tried it with just an empty bar. I thought I was going to blow a gasket. Sandbags are even worse.

Good work.

TNT

Impressive.

I would expect to see more dings in my garage door.

Nice effin work!

I swore it was a typo, that you meant to say dumbbell.

Cute kid, lol.

And angels and airwaves? That would make me anything but furious at the weights, but that’s just me, lol.

Excellent work!

Do you break a lot of things practicing this haha, I can just imagine it falling all over your dumbbells of putting a hole in the wall.

Looks hard I have not tried it but even holding that much weight over your head with one arm is impressive.

Nice job, that. Looked like a gasser.

So i found your next progression after using a barbell. =P

that’s cool you, should try a barbell, you might actually surpsize youself. this is the first time I had ever tried that weight, it wasn’t easy, but I really wasn’t expecting to be able to do it.

That was some pretty sick stuff

NICE JOB!!! wow

btw: was that angles and airwaves playing in the back? AWESOME!!
