For clarification, the compound you’re referring to is also known as gamma-butyrolactone, or GBL. Its sale is restricted in many or perhaps all states and sales may be reported to the DEA (not positive about that but it is true for many other chemicals used to make controlled substances, and GBL is used to make GHB.)
